This research deals with the relationship between religiosity and political action of the evangelical federal deputy, Benedita da Silva, in the period from 1987 to 2022. The analysis was made from the use of the term intersectionality as a theoretical-methodological perspective for religion studies, especially for the Graduate Programs in Religious Sciences in Brazil. Going through the investigation of the underrepresentation of gender, race and class in the Brazilian National Congress. As well as for the research related to the intersectional crossings in Benedita. In addition to analyzing her political performance during five terms as a deputy. The main objective of the research is to characterize and analyze the performance of the evangelical federal deputy, Benedita da Silva, during her five terms, with regard to the issues of gender, race and class that involve such performance, and to understand how the parliamentarian negotiates with her religiosity in her political work. Our hypothesis about the political performance of Congresswoman Benedita da Silva showed that during her five terms in office she was relatively autonomous in relation to her religious confession and, likewise, in relation to her evangelical institution where she is a member. Through the combination of different methodologies applied in each chapter, namely, bibliographic review, document analysis of the Chamber of Deputies portal for the survey of propositions transformed into legal norms, access to the deputy's website and social networks, and field research with the realization of a face-to-face interview with the parliamentarian, we present gender, race and class as centrality of the intersectional category. We conclude that the political participation of the deputy in Parliament does not annul her religiosity, and her religiosity probably does not interfere in her performance in formal political life.
