Pedro: uma figura de poder entre os cristãos primitivos. Análise dos atos de Pedro na tradição canônica e dos apócrifos

Abstract

A presente pesquisa tem como objeto a construção da figura de Pedro pelos grupos do cristianismo primitivo, como o grande líder desse cristianismo. Essa construção será analisada a partir do estudo dos sinais, prodígios e milagres realizados pelo Apóstolo, tanto na literatura canônica como também em Atos Apócrifos de Pedro. A construção desta imagem poderosa aponta um trabalho de legitimação do apóstolo como líder das comunidades cristãs primitivas. Esses sinais, prodígios e milagres são parte do imaginário popular da sociedade greco-romana da época. Para estudar a construção da imagem em diálogo com o imaginário popular, abordaremos inicialmente o mundo da magia e a figura do mago, definindo o que é magia e sua relação com as manifestações poderosas descritas nos escritos canônicos e Atos Apócrifos de Pedro. Na segunda parte da pesquisa, analisaremos nos textos canônicos e apócrifos os atos maravilhosos de Pedro que legitimam sua autoridade e apostolicidade no cristianismo e na terceira parte, destacaremos a presença de Pedro nos evangelhos, nos Atos dos apóstolos. Identificaremos algumas referências sobre Pedro feitas pelos pais da igreja, que retratam a maneira que entendiam e consideravam Pedro no círculo apostólico, e por fim, trabalharemos as narrativas que apresentam o diálogo entre Jesus e Pedro, cujos destaques reforçam a importância e a relevância do apóstolo Pedro entre os discípulos de Jesus, a saber Mt 16 e João 21.The present research has as its object the construction of the figure of Pedro by the groups of the primitive Christianity, like the great leader of that Christianity. This construction will be analyzed from the study of the signs, wonders and miracles performed by the Apostle, both in canonical literature and also in Apocryphal Acts of Peter. The construction of this powerful image points to a work of legitimizing the apostle as leader of the primitive Christian communities. These signs, wonders and miracles are part of the popular imagination of Greco- Roman society at the time. To study the construction of the image in dialogue with the popular imagination, we will initially approach the world of magic and the figure of the magician, defining what magic is and its relationship with the powerful manifestations described in the canonical writings and Peter's Apocryphal Acts. In the second part of the research, we will analyze in the canonical and apocryphal texts the wonderful acts of Peter that legitimize his authority and apostolicity in Christianity. In the third part, we will highlight the presence of Peter in the gospels, in the Acts of the apostles, we will identify some references about Peter made by church fathers, who portray the way they understood and considered Peter in the apostolic circle. Finally, still in this stage of the research, we will work the narratives that involve Jesus promoting the importance and relevance of the apostle Peter among his disciples, namely Mt 16 and John 21.
