Símbolo do reino de Deus na teologia da libertação pela leitura da teologia sistemática de Paul Tillich

Abstract

A presente dissertação se propõe a investigar as implicações do símbolo reino de Deus na Teologia Sistemática de Paul Tillich para a reflexão latino-ameri- cano. Busca-se compreender este reino em meio a tensão da expectativa e reali- zação, também, como uma possibilidade de esperança àqueles que anseiam por justiça e libertação nesse mundo. Faz parte desse processo identificar elementos que se reconheçam nesse reino, cuja característica principal é a relação com os aspectos da vida humana. São expressões que nascem de uma relação do divino com o humano e se culminam em respostas para fragilidades da vida, além de atuar na maneira como experienciamos a religião. Se trata da valorização do que é central na mensagem cristã, sem perder de vista questões que são fundamentais na história e no cotidiano humano. Uma maior compreensão da realidade histó- rica, por um lado, e também, da própria existência, por outro. No primeiro mo- mento o objetivo é tentar compreender o que é o reino na teologia de Tillich. Depois, trabalhar com o símbolo e o reino como objetos da reflexão. Por fim, a observação do reino de Deus sob a compreensão de um símbolo político será feita em diálogo com a Teologia da Libertação, acompanhando os riscos de uma interpretação que se distância da sua dimensão simbólica.The present dissertation proposes to investigate the implications of the symbol God’s kingdom in Systematic Theology of Paul Tillich for the Latin American reflection. It seeks to understand this kingdom in midst the tension of the expectation and fulfillment, also, as a possibility of hope for those who yearn for justice and liberation in this world. It is part of this process to identify elements that are recognized with this kingdom, whose main characteristic is the relation with the aspects human’s life. They are expres- sions that born of a relationship of the divine with the human and culminate in responses to life's fragilities, as well as acting in the way we experience the religion. It is about the valuation what is central to the Christian message, without losing sight issues that are fundamental in human history and daily life. A greater understanding of historical reality, on the one hand, and also, own existence, on the other. In the first moment the goal is to try to understand what is the kingdom in Tillich's theology. Then, to work with the symbol and the kingdom as objects of reflection. Finally, the observation of the God’s Kingdom under the understanding of a political symbol will be made in dia- logue with Liberation Theology, accompanying the risks of an interpretation that dis- tances itself from its symbolic dimension.
