Transgressões audiovisuais: a influência mútua entre formato e conteúdo no videoclipe gospel brasileiro

Abstract

Nossa investigação situa-se na área das linguagens religiosas no campo da cultura visual contemporânea. Ela examina o gênero videoclipe gospel brasileiro, e analisa a influência mútua entre o formato do gênero videoclipe e o conteúdo da cultura gospel brasileira. Partimos da compreensão que a linguagem visual e a linguagem musical são duas expressivas linguagens que no transcorrer da história tem contribuído na relação do ser humano com o transcendente. Nesse sentido é a nossa hipótese que haja uma relação mútua entre as características da cultura da música gospel brasileira e a linguagem visual religiosa com o formato do videoclipe gospel brasileiro. Portanto, é nosso objetivo analisá-lo a partir da letra da canção, da imagem, através das características do gênero videoclipe e das características da cultura gospel. Para tal, examinaremos quatro videoclipes, do período entre os anos de 2007 e 2014. Como método para analisar seu formato utilizaremos os conceitos: ideia central (de Danilo Teixeira Bechara), características do formato (Andréa Michelle dos Santos Diogo) e audiovisão (de Michel Chion). Analisaremos a letra da canção utilizando o método da análise do discurso de Eni Puccinelli Orlandi, e as características da cultura gospel brasileira na perspectiva de Magali do Nascimento Cunha e Joêzer Mendonça. Chegamos na conclusão que existe sim uma influência mútua entre o formato do videoclipe e o conteúdo da cultura gospel brasileira; já que seu conteúdo, se comparado ao modelo do gênero videoclipe, modifica o formato do videoclipe religioso, especialmente porque nele a narrativa da linguagem musical aparece na linguagem visual. Bem como, o conteúdo religioso é adaptado ao formato do videoclipe.

Our investigation is in the area of religious languages in the field of contemporary visual culture. She examines the Brazilian gospel video clip genre, and analyzes the mutual influence between the format of the video clip genre and the content of Brazilian gospel culture. We start from the understanding that visual language and musical language are two expressive languages that throughout history have contributed to the relationship between the human being and the transcendent. In this sense, it is our hypothesis that there is a mutual relationship between the characteristics of Brazilian gospel music culture and religious visual language with the format of the Brazilian gospel video clip. Therefore, it is our objective to analyze it from the lyrics of the song, from the image, through the characteristics of the video clip genre and the characteristics of the gospel culture. To do so, we will examine four video clips between 2007 and 2014. As a method to analyze their format we will use the concepts: central idea (by Danilo Teixeira Bechara), format characteristics (Andréa Michelle dos Santos Diogo) and audiovision (by Michel Chion). We will analyze the lyrics using the speech analysis method of Eni Puccinelli Orlandi, and the characteristics of Brazilian gospel culture from the perspective of Magali do Nascimento Cunha and Joêzer Mendonça. We concluded that there is a mutual influence between the format of the video clip and the content of Brazilian gospel culture; since its content, when compared to the model of the video clip genre, changes the format of the religious video clip, especially since the narrative of the musical language appears in the visual language. As well as religious content is adapted to the format of the video clip.
