Limites e fronteiras no Evangelho de Mateus

Abstract

O evangelho de Mateus compõe o conjunto dos sinóticos neotestamentários e foi redigido na segunda metade do I século da E.C. Embora não se tenha certeza a respeito do lugar de origem, a hipótese geralmente aceita é que tenha sido produzido nas cercanias da Antioquia da Síria, por volta do decênio 90.Esta pesquisa funda-se na exegese das perícopes 5:27-32, 18:6-9 e 19:9-12 onde encontramos o tratamento de temas como adultério, fornicação e castrações. O conteúdo das perícopes é normativo e indica orientações para o comportamento da audiência reunida em torno do documento. Entendemos que a autoria do evangelho procurou estabelecer sua identidade social por meio da imposição de limites e fronteiras religiosas tomadas da Torá, reinterpretadas por Jesus de Nazaré e laboriosamente selecionadas e compiladas pela autoria do evangelho. Era necessária a escrita de um material que resguardasse os princípios da tradição judaica e evitasse a indesejável “mistura” com as tradições e os costumes de Roma. Embora o grupo mateano não tenha pretendido prescindir do judaísmo, este movimento foi inevitável à medida que os gentios aderiam à fé cristã. Na redação mateana se reconhecem, portanto, expressões da pertença judaica e simbolismos da cultura helênica. Tratam-se de intertextos, memórias ancestrais e imagens míticas que em conjunto foram utilizadas como técnicas retóricas que visavam à construção de identidade da audiência composta por judeus, judeus helenizados e gentios.

The Gospel of Matthew composes the synoptical group of the New Testaments and it was written in the second half of the I century of C.E. Although its orign place is not certain. The hypothesis usually accepted is that it has been produced in the outskirts of Antioquia of Syria, about the decade 90.This research is founded in the exegesis of the stratums 5:27-32, 18:6-9 and 19:9-12 where we found the treatment of themes as adultery, fornication and emasculation. The content of the pericopes is normative and indicates orientations for the behavior of the audience around the document. We understood that the authorship of the Gospel tried to establish the group’s social identity through the imposition of limits and boundaries religious took from Torá, reintepreted by Jesus of Nazareth and laboriously selected and compiled by the authorship of the Gospel. It was necessary the writing of a material that protected the beginnings of the Jewish tradition and it avoided the undesirable "mixture" with the traditions and the habits of Rome. Although the matean group has not intended to prescind of the Judaism, this movement was inevitable because the heathens adhered to the Christian faith. Therefore, in the matean composition we can recognize expressions and symbolism that belong to Jewish and to the Hellenic Culture. They are intertexts, ancestral memoirs and mythical images that together were used as rhetorical techniques that sought building the identity of the audience composed by Jews, Hellenized Jews and Heathen.
