Religião, educação e utopia na obra Pampaedia de Jan Amós Comenius

Abstract

A pesquisa tem como objetivo principal identificar os elementos que fundamentam o conceito de utopia desenvolvido por Jan Amós Comenius em sua obra Pampaedia. Acreditamos existir em Comenius um claro deslocamento do conceito universalista de salvação do âmbito da religião para o da educação, levando o autor a desenvolver assim um amplo projeto utópico de reformas políticas e religiosas a serem gestadas pela instituição escolar. A fonte principal de nossa pesquisa será a obra Pampaedia, por oferecer a perspectiva madura e mais bem-acabada do pensamento comeniano. Busca-se ainda referenciais nas obras Escola da infância, O labirinto do mundo e o paraíso do coração, Didática Magna, O único necessário e Panorthosia, todas do próprio autor, além de bibliografia auxiliar. No primeiro capítulo se discute brevemente alguns dos desafios relativos ao estudo biográfico de Jan Amós Comenius, especialmente no contexto brasileiro, para em seguida esboçarmos, a partir de nossas perspectivas, uma breve análise histórica sobre a figura do pensador checo e seu contexto. Em seguida analisaremos as bases do pensamento pedagógico comeniano, analisando inicialmente a herança do pensamento educacional da Reforma Protestante, o conceito comeniano de Pansofia, essencial para a compreensão do conceito de educação comeniano, analisado em seguida a partir da obra Didática Magna. Por fim, o terceiro capítulo tenciona compreender os elementos que compõem o projeto utópico comeniano em sua obra Pampaedia. Apresentaremos temas relacionados às áreas da teologia, história, política e educação.

The main objective of the research is to identify the elements that underlie the concept of utopia developed by Jan Amos Comenius in his work Pampaedia. We believe that in Comenius there is a clear shift from the universalist concept of salvation from the realm of religion to that of education, leading the author to develop a broad utopian project of political and religious reforms to be developed by the school institution. The main source of our research will be the work Pampaedia, for offering the mature and best-finished perspective of the Commenian thinking. It also seeks references in the works School of childhood, The labyrinth of the world and the paradise of the heart, Didactic Magna”, The only necessary and Panorthosia, all of the author himself, besides auxiliary bibliography. In the first chapter, some of the challenges related to the biographical study of Jan Amós Comenius, especially in the Brazilian context, are briefly discussed, so that we can sketch, from our perspective, a brief historical analysis of the figure of the Czech thinker and his context. Next, we will analyze the bases of the pedagogical thought, analyzing initially the heritage of the educational thought of the Protestant Reformation, the Commenian concept of Pansofia, essential for the comprehension of the concept of Commenian education, analyzed by the Didactic Magna. Finally, the third chapter intends to understand the elements that make up the Commenian Utopian project in his work Pampaedia. We will present topics related to the areas of theology, history, politics and education.
