A ressignificação da relação entre o erótico e o sagrado em Cântico dos Cânticos

Abstract

Poucos livros na Bíblia tiveram tanta variedade de interpretações como o Cântico dos Cânticos. Sua linguagem poética e repleta de metáforas eróticas traz questionamentos sobre seu lugar no Cânon. Esta pesquisa analisa o Cântico dos Cânticos como um todo, mas foca na perícope de Ct 8.5-7 como ápice do livro. Partindo da interpretação natural, propõe que o livro trata do amor erótico-sexual presente na relação do casal apaixonado. Contudo, a perícope 8.5-7 mostra a conexão desse erotismo vivido ao longo do livro com Deus ao dizer que o amor são labaredas de Yah. Dessa forma, o Cântico apresenta uma proposta de ressignificação da relação entre o erótico e o sagrado. Essa proposta de ressignificação fica clara ao analisarmos a relação intertextual que o Cântico possui com os escritos sacerdotais da época persa. Tal relação intertextual mostra que o Cântico não apenas ressignifica o amor erótico-sexual, conectando-o a YHWH, mas também nos dá pistas para vermos uma ressignificação do próprio conceito de YHWH, como Deus presente na relação sexual.

Few books in the Bible have had as much variety of interpretations as the Song of Songs. Its poetic language, full of erotic metaphors, raises questions about its place in the Canon. This research analyzes the Song of Songs as a whole, but focuses on the pericope of Song of Songs 8:5-7 as the climax of the book. Starting from the natural interpretation, it proposes that the book deals with the erotic-sexual love present in the relationship of the passionate couple. However, pericope 8:5-7 shows the connection of this eroticism experienced throughout the book with God by stating that love is flames of Yahweh. In this way, the Song of Songs presents a proposal for resignifying the relationship between the erotic and the sacred. This proposal of resignification becomes clear when we analyze the intertextual relationship that the Song has with the priestly writings of the Persian period. Such intertextual relationship shows that the Song not only resignifies erotic-sexual love, connecting it to YHWH, but also gives us clues to see a resignification of the very concept of YHWH, as God present in the sexual relationship.
