O funcionamento básico acontece através de comandos enviados por mensagem de texto SMS (Short Message Service), utilizando a tecnologia GSM por meio de um aparelho celular. Tais comandos têm o papel de acionar funções de um sistema microcontrolado que toma ações conforme sua configuração, como: avisar o usuário do estado do veículo, acionar sistemas de alarmes e dispositivos de segurança, instalados no veículo monitorado, avisar o usuário da mudança de estado e da ação tomada automaticamente conforme parametrização definida e aguardar em estado de espera comandos para tomada de ação sem a necessidade da ativação de sensores.This document describes a system that allows a new form of security assets, low cost, which performs the remote monitoring of vehicles via mobile phone with sending of SMS message. The basic operation is through commands sent by text message (SMS Short Message Service) using the GSM technology via a mobile phone.
