O Antigo Testamento contém diversos trechos nos quais a preocupação com o estrangeiro é revelada, principalmente pelo fato do próprio povo de Israel ter sido estrangeiro no Egito (Êxodo 22.21; 23.9; Deuteronômio 10.19). O Novo Testamento também apresenta trechos que defendem o cuidado com os estrangeiros e o valor destes. Assim, esta pesquisa tem como objeto a figura do estrangeiro nos escritos lucanos, partindo do texto de Lucas 10.25-37, a conhecida parábola do bom samaritano. Entretanto, mesmo diante dos textos acima citados, a literatura bíblica também demonstra os conflitos que existiam entre os judeus e os estrangeiros e a dificuldade de aceitação destes estrangeiros como membros de iguais direitos no cristianismo primitivo. Por essa razão, o objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar como a comunidade lucana foi desafiada a superar o problema da aceitação do estrangeiro. Essa análise considerará a influência dos estrangeiros na formação do cristianismo primitivo, verificará as tensões existentes quanto à aceitação destes estrangeiros e demonstrará como a questão da aceitação do estrangeiro é crucial no entendimento da parábola do bom samaritano e dos escritos lucanos como um todo. Portanto, esta pesquisa tem o intuito de demonstrar que a comunidade lucana apresentava dificuldades na aceitação do estrangeiro e que, por essa razão, o evangelho de Lucas e o livro de Atos dos Apóstolos apresentam, por diversas vezes, uma defesa desses estrangeiros ao propor que seguir a Cristo implica em amar e acolher o estrangeiro.The foreigner is a character who receives special attention throughout the biblical writing. The Old Testament contains several passages in which the concern for the foreigner is revealed, mainly because the people of Israel themselves were foreigners in Egypt (Exodus 22.21; 23.9; Deuteronomy 10.19). The New Testament also presents passages that advocate care for foreigners and their value. Thus, the foreigner in the Lucan writings is the object of this research, starting from the text of Luke 10: 25-37, the well-known parable of the Good Samaritan. However, despite the passages cited above, the biblical literature also demonstrates the conflicts that existed between Jews and foreigners and the difficulty of accepting these foreigners as members of equal rights in early Christianity. For this reason, the objective of this research is to analyze how the Lucan community was challenged to overcome the problem of foreign acceptance. This analysis will consider the influence of foreigners in the shaping of early Christianity, check existing tensions regarding the acceptance of these foreigners and demonstrate how the foreigner acceptance issue is crucial to the understanding of the Good Samaritan parable and of the Lucan writings as a whole.
