O movimento nasceu nos EUA e milita na seara da religião, porém não se limitando à mesma, convoca a juventude a “dominar” todos os espaços da sociedade civil. O grupo de jovens evangélicos brasileiros que se vincula ao movimento possui um perfil diversificado, o que reproduz a heterogeneidade que caracteriza este grupo no Brasil. Sendo assim, propomos neste trabalho uma análise da influência político/religiosa que o movimento The Send exerce sobre uma parcela da juventude evangélica brasileira que aqui identificamos como fundamentalista. O problema a ser discutido refere-se ao uso político do discurso religioso presente no movimento The Send, que busca mobilizar uma parcela da juventude evangélica brasileira em torno de um projeto político fundamentalista neoliberal. Por meio de pesquisa/ levantamento bibliográfico buscamos entender o movimento desde sua formação até a construção do discurso presente nos eventos, assim como o desejo de seus componentes exercerem influência política sobre jovens. Nosso trabalho indica que o modus operandi do The Send é o mesmo presente em parcela significativa dos evangélicos brasileiros, que consomem boa parte do contéudo “teológico” produzido pelos estadunidenses, a pesquisa indica que o The Send é uma adaptação do fundamentalismo aos jovens.This dissertation proposes to analyze the movement named The Send, which seeks to influence Brazilian evangelical youth through a theme of missionary awakening and social transformation. The movement was born in the USA and militates in the field of religion, but not limited to it, they call on the youth to “dominate” all spaces on civil society. The group of young Brazilian evangelicals linked to the movement has a diverse profile, which reproduces the heterogeneity that characterizes this group. Therefore, we propose in this dissertation an analysis of the political/religious influence that The Send movement have on a portion of Brazilian evangelical youth that we identify here as fundamentalist. The problem to be discussed refers to the political use of the religious discourse present in The Send movement, which seeks to mobilize a portion of Brazilian evangelical youth around a neoliberal fundamentalist political project. Through research/bibliographic research, we seek to understand the movement from its formation to the construction of the discourse present in the events, as well as the desire of its components to exert political influence over young people.
