Teve como objetivo investigar as influências da comunicação intrapessoal no enfrentamento da violência doméstica em mulheres moradoras de uma comunidade na cidade de São Paulo. O método utilizado foi qualitativo, por meio de pesquisa participante, com a realização de 08 Oficinas do Diálogo Terapêutico (ODT’s) com 30 mulheres adultas. Nas oficinas ocorreram discussões e reflexões sobre os temas infância, adolescência, juventude, vida adulta, relacionamentos familiares e afetivos e vida profissional, utilizando-se estratégias de comunicação intrapessoal, buscando favorecer o enfrentamento da violência doméstica. Nessa perspectiva, os indicativos da psicologia humanista rogeriana deram sustentação às oficinas, assim como permearam as interpretações dos dados coletados. Os resultados apontaram para alterações significativas nas narrativas expressas na comunicação intrapessoal das participantes, indicando a possibilidade de favorecimento ao enfrentamento do ciclo da violência e a adoção de novas atitudes e comportamentos em relação ao trabalho, a relacionamentos interpessoais e ao futuro, evidenciando o potencial da comunicação intrapessoal como ferramenta de empoderamento e de transformação para mulheres em situação de violência doméstica.This study addressed the issue of violence against women. It aimed to investigate the influences of intrapersonal communication on coping with domestic violence among women living in a community in the city of São Paulo. The method used was qualitative, through participant research, with the realization of 08 Therapeutic Dialogue Workshops (ODT's), with 30 adult women. The workshops included discussions and reflections on the themes of childhood, adolescence, youth, adulthood, family and emotional relationships and professional life, using intrapersonal communication strategies to help people cope with domestic violence. From this perspective, the indications of Rogerian humanistic psychology underpinned the workshops, as well as permeating the interpretations of the data collected. The results pointed to significant changes in the narratives expressed in the participants' intrapersonal communication, indicating the possibility of favoring coping with the cycle of violence and the adoption of new attitudes and behaviors in relation to work, interpersonal relationships and the future, highlighting the potential of intrapersonal communication as a tool for empowerment and transformation for women in situations of domestic violence.ptPsicologiaComunicação IntrapessoalViolência DomésticaMulheresPsychologyIntrapersonal CommunicationDomestic ViolenceWomenCiências HumanasTese
