De sua família com quem tinha excelentes relações, Teilhard de Chardin herdou dois sublimes sentimentos que marcaram sua trajetória de vida. De seu pai, Alexandre Vítor, ele herdou o amor pela terra e o sentido da observação científica. De sua mãe, Berthe-Adèle, ele herdou o aprendizado de amar a Deus. Tais sentimentos causaram consideráveis problemas tanto para ele como para seus superiores religiosos, pois a ciência e a fé marcaram de forma explícita a dualidade de seus mais íntimos pensamentos. Para esse filho da Terra, Cristo, a Divindade, era sua única e verdadeira paixão, apesar de ele possuir ao mesmo tempo a tendência à pesquisa científica e a busca a Deus, motivado por um forte desejo pelo Absoluto. Isso lhe despertou o desejo de tornar-se religioso quando estava com 17 anos, pois, segundo ele, seu desejo pelo mais perfeito, determinou sua vocação aos Jesuítas e também o conduziu à Geologia. Para Teilhard de Chardin, a ideia de uma super evolução da humanidade tornou-se mais e mais sua perspectiva científica, apesar de perceber-se que ele jamais separaria o intelectual do espiritual. Para esse ser possuidor de grande senso de humor e de uma inteligência criativa que ascendeu sobre os dogmas da Igreja Católica, apesar de professar sua lealdade tanto à Igreja quanto à Companhia de Jesus, o segredo do mundo está em toda parte onde consigamos ver o universo transparente. O objetivo principal deste trabalho é apresentar os cenários que levaram Teilhard de Chardin a tentar unir ciência e fé, mesmo diante de seus embates com a Igreja Católica em um período em que sua hegemonia encontrava-se abalada pela modernidade que assolou o mundo desvendando mistérios do universo, os quais se confrontavam com os seus preceitos. Metodologicamente optou-se pela leitura e análise de suas obras, bem como leituras de muitos outros autores que contribuíram com informações valiosas sobre sua busca pelo mais perfeito que ele atribuía à união entre ciência e espiritualidade, o que o consagra perante seus escritos. E, finalmente, demonstra-se nesta proposta o resultado obtido através de todas essas leituras, sua sensibilidade espiritual em relação à evolução da Criação.Marie-Joseph Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, was born into a family of Catholic tradition, of noble and extremely conservative origin. Of his family with whom he had excellent relations, Teilhard de Chardin inherited two sublime feelings that marked his life trajectory. From his father Alexandre-Victor he inherited the love of the earth and the sense of scientific observation. From his mother, Berthe-Adèle, he inherited the learning to love God. Such feelings caused considerable problems for him as well as for his religious superiors, because the science and the faith explicitly marked the duality of his innermost thoughts. For this child of the earth, Christ, the Godhead, was his only true passion, although he possessed at the same time the tendency to scientific research and the search for God, motivated by a strong desire for the Absolute. This aroused his desire to become religious when he was 17, because, according to him, his desire for the most perfect, determined his vocation to the Jesuits, and also led him to Geology. For Teilhard de Chardin, the idea of a super evolution of mankind became more and more his scientific perspective, although it was realized that he would never separate the intellectual from the spiritual. For this being possessed of a great sense of humor and a creative intelligence that ascended on the dogmas of the Catholic Church, despite professing his loyalty to both, the Church and the Society of Jesus, the secret of the world is everywhere where we can see the transparent universe. The main objective of this work is to present the scenarios that led Teilhard de Chardin to try to unite science and faith, even in the face of his clashes with the Catholic Church, in a period when its hegemony was shaken by the modernity that devastated the world unveiling mysteries of the universe, which were confronted with its precepts. Methodologically the choice was to read and analyze his works, as well as readings of many other authors who contributed with valuable information about his search for the most perfect that he attributed to the union between science and spirituality, which consecrates him before his writings.
