Dissertação (Ciências da Religião) - Universidade Metodista de São Paulo, São Bernardo do Campo.https://repositorio.metodista.br/handle/123456789/735Este trabalho tem por objetivo realizar uma análise dos conceitos de reino de Deus e igreja na teologia da missão integral de René Padilla por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica do referido autor, como também do seu contraponto teórico mais importante, o movimento de crescimento de igreja, principalmente na figura de seu fundador Donald McGravan, identificando as causas que fizeram René Padilla escrever acerca da temática em questão, estabelecendo qual a importância que estes conceitos têm em relação às questões da teologia da missão da igreja e demonstrando em que medida sua proposição se mostra como uma continuidade da teologia predominante ou rompimento. A análise bibliográfica terá como foco principal os textos produzidos por René Padilla, principalmente aqueles que abordam discussões acerca do reino da Deus e da igreja na missão da igreja. Serão apontadas as definições de reino de Deus e igreja, bem como, as repercussões que a relação entre eles desempenha na formulação da teologia da missão integral do teólogo latino-americano e outras teologias da missão.The goal of this paper is to analyze de concepts of ‘kingdom of God’ and ‘church’ in the integral mission theology of René Padilla by a bibliographic research of the mentioned author and also of his most important theoretical counterpoint, the Church Growth Movement, mainly about its founder’s writings, Donald McGravan, in order to identify the causes that made Padilla write about this subject, demonstrating the importance that these concepts had in relation to the matters and discussions of the church’s mission theology, and also pointing to what extend his propositions show a continuity or rupture of the mainstream theology of mission.
