Por meio de uma análise descritiva de dados do Banco Central do Brasil e do IBGE, buscou-se investigar a relação entre inflação e desemprego e como essas variáveis impactam a vida dos brasileiros. Além disso foi feita uma análise econométrica, sendo a inflação a variável dependente e o desemprego sendo a independente. Os resultados indicam que a uma relação inversa entre as variáveis, mostrando que o trade-off da curva de Philips é verdadeiro. O estudo teve como base a Curva de Phillips e seus diferentes estudos.This study aims to investigate the relationship between inflation and unemployment in Brazil during COVID-19, analyzing the advance of inflation and unemployment throughout 2019 to 2022. Through a descriptive analysis of data from the Central Bank of Brazil and IBGE, we sought to investigate the relationship between inflation and unemployment and how these variables impact the lives of Brazilians. In addition, an econometric analysis was carried out, with inflation being the dependent variable and unemployment being the independent variable. The results indicate an inverse relationship between the variables, showing that the Philips curve trade-off is true.
