In a technological age as we live, where people hardly have no time to devote care to something what they want, it becomes too costly for aquarists to keep their hobbies. For these, conduct a study and consequently the development of a system that automate an aquarium is extremely necessary. The main motivation of this work is the lack of automation options dedicated to aquarists, as opposed to the extensive sort of options offered to aqua- culturists, being the latter fish creators for commercial purposes, whereas the first have solely ornamental or study related purposes. Although the niche market is very large and the many options that exist are generally dedicated to commercial producer, the few dedicated options to aquarists are extremely expensive, do not reach the national market and do not offer real-time monitoring. Based on the knowledge that group members have about aquarium (needs and features) came the idea of creating an automated system to handle, even at a distance, the health of it. This research tries to follow the technology market using mainly open source technologies that had been implemented, and that works with purpose of fast and low coast solution development and maintenance, It’s been implemented a solutions that allow the hobbyist monitors their aquarium remotely through a software developed for android operational system and that would be automatically controlled in some vitals needs like temperature control, feed and water oxygenation , meanly focusing in keeping solution development and maintenance with low coast to be more affordable. To perform this task, this work was divided into two TCCs, this one that deals with Android application and the other dealing with Arduino control.
